Shining Light Outreach Center
Shining Light is a ministry that reaches the unreached, loves the unloved, touches the untouched, and impacts a lost tribe that had not been discovered in Charleston, MO.
This ministry requires a lot of help from others and as a result we have been blessed to work with some of the greatest Christians in all of the world. Our partners have given of themselves, their time, and their resources unselfishly. Thank you for making a difference!

Benjamin Zellmer, son of Pastor Jason and wife Heather, was involved in a serious dirt bike accident at their home on the evening of May 31st. He was airlifted to Children's Hospital where he is currently being treated in the PICU.
We believe God has been sustaining Benjamin's life and answering our prayers. Benjamin still has a long road ahead but by God's grace we expect a full recovery.
Twelve days ago our son was in a serious dirtbike accident. He was on life support in the ICU for nine days, and at one point we feared we might lose him. Today, our son has come home!
During the last 12 days, there were 20 specific prayer requests that we asked our friends to pray for (see previous posts). God has answered 18 of those prayers, and there are still 2 that we wait patiently for. Our son's recovery is a testimony to prayer, and a testimony to our Father in heaven.
At one point when Benjamin was on the ventilator and we were praying for him to wake up, I found myself singing over my son. For the first time in my life, I truly understood what it means when the Bible says that our Heavenly Father sings over us. In my love for him, I would have given anything to take his place at that moment, and that's exactly what our heavenly Father has done for us. He sent his only son Jesus to suffer in our place so we could have eternal life.
I don't believe there is any trial in life that happens by accident. As you have followed our journey, I pray that God has used it to strengthen your faith. For my friends who are far from God, I pray that the Lord would use this story to call you home.
Benjamin still has a long ways to go before he's 100%. He will need physical therapy and lots of help at home. But today we rejoice, and we want to thank you again for the text, phone calls, gift cards, meals and especially your prayers!
